M42 is a gallery site where members can exhibit their photographies taken with original M42 lenses.
The lenses database can also be edited by volunteers (aka editors) without exhibiting pictures.
We want to keep this site as clean as possible so please pay attention of your picture quality, wording and lens information.

HOW TO EXHIBIT YOUR PICTURES ON M42 |

The M42 team can refuse any weird membership without any commented explanations.
In any case, messages, photographes and texts can be removed without notice.
If you encounter any problems, please write to the webmaster.
The M42 team is not responsible for any of the published material, which belongs exclusivly to their author.
The exposed pictures must be managed by their author only.
When an author publishes a text or a picture, he accepts by default ownership of the content and its representation.
We reserve the right to delete uncommented or falsified works.

You need to send us some elements to the following :
- 1 biographical text of 20 lines maximum,
- mininum 5 and up to 10 titled and commented photographes, with beautifull technical lens utilisation,
- the camera and of course the M42 lenses your are using.
The texts and images must be the ones used in your gallery.
Please consider carefully the following points:
- Your pictures must be the same format as the one that will be viewed on the site,
- Dont send us pictures just because you are using M42 lens, everybody can do that, choose a good technical reason,
- Read again and again your texts to clear wording and syntax errors,
- Use a Microsoft Word format or a simple text (.txt extension), which is better in the message body,
- Clearly name your photographies (photo001, photo002, etc...) to be quickly identified,
- Don't forget any element or it will be refused.
Upon your membership validation, you will received your login and password, at this point you will be able to manage your pictures, texts and profile by yourself.

If you want to edit, add pictures, comments, references to the database, your need a M42 account.
To get one please send a e-mail message to this
with the following questions answered:
- First & Last name,
- E-mail Address,
- The password you want,
- What is your Internet experience? Provide information such as your experience with the Internet, similar interests, etc.,
- Why are you interested in volunteering to be an editor for the M2 project?
- Explain your interest in the subject of M42 for which you are applying to edit: for instance, indicate whether you have professional experience in this field, or whether it is a personal hobby or interest,
- Sites with which you are associated: Please give details, including URLs, of any sites that you own or have designed or promoted, either in full or in part. Also, mention whether you have contributed content to any site, and give URLs as appropriate.

The M42 Project's goal is to produce the most comprehensive directory of the web by relying on a vast army of volunteer editors. The M42 Project is an online community. Thus, it is important to have the ability to
work well with other editors, in addition to having a critical eye for organization.
The goal of editors should be to produce useful resources for the web public.
This knowledge can be ideal for helping build an authoritative directory. However, we will not tolerate
editors who maliciously interfere with others' listings in the database.
